I think you should open a ticket and get this to support. Just a couple questions when you did your upgrade did you make the disk bigger to ensure you wouldn't run out of space and did you leave the windows.old to allow the upgrade process to copy files from it during finalization?

It worked pretty well and handled windows updates without any problems like a physical machine .The only issue I had was I needed to install from the outset the Atheros windows 7 Atheros drivers in the VHD.

I am trying to get my mind around how I might use disk2VHD or ImageX. Remember my windows 2008R2 has never been a physical partition only a vhd so in a sense I am going from a VHD to VHD ? I guess the same thing applies to ImageX. Could you please clarify?
